Dag Erik Pedersen, 1984 Giro del Trentino

Norwegian cyclist Dag Erik Pedersen won a total of 43 professional races during his career from 1982 – 1991 including 3 stages of the Giro d’Italia. This great-looking Classification Leaders jersey has flocked lettering and the cloth team placard has been stitched on by hand.

The Giro del Trentino, now know as the Tour of the Alps in an annual stage race held in Italy and Austria in late April.  The race was first held in 1962 and has been won by such cycling greats as Francesco Moser, Giuseppe Saronni, Thibaut Pinot and many more.

This jersey was purchased directly from the Augusto Gotti family and was part of the collection in the legendary Bar Augusto in Villa d’Alme, Italy.  Bar Augusto was a key host to professional and amateur cycling teams from the 1960s through the 1980s.
