With a jersey, it is either the real deal, or it isn’t, and provenance is key. If at all possible, we prefer to obtain older cycling jerseys directly from the riders or their families. For modern jerseys, we go to great lengths to take delivery of the jerseys from the riders immediately after a race. At least when we get a riders jersey at the race, with numbers still attached and dripping with sweat, you know it has rock-solid provenance.
