Tomasz Brożyna was a professional cyclist from 1996 to 2006. Brożyna was the first Polish rider to compete in all three of the Grand Tours. Brożyna, a four-time winner of the Międzynarodowy Wyścig Kolarskwasy, was riding with the US Postal Service Team in 1996 when he won this jersey.

The Międzynarodowy Wyścig Kolarski “Solidarności” i Olimpijczyków; Race of Solidarity and Olympians; or Course de la Solidarité Olympique is a stage race held in Poland in July.  The race started in 1990 as an amateur race becoming a professional race in 1996.  The race is currently part of the UCI Europe Tour and held the 30th edition in July of 2019.

This jersey was purchased directly from the Augusto Gotti family and was part of the collection in the legendary Bar Augusto in Villa d’Alme, Italy.  Bar Augusto was a key host to professional and amateur cycling teams from the 1960s through the 1980s.
