Hugo Koblet Signed Postal Card

A nine-time Swiss National Champion, winner of the 1950 Giro d’Italia, 1951 Tour de France, and a host of other races, Koblet was extremely popular with fans, particularly the ladies. He was known for the comb in his jersey pocket that he would pull out at the conclusion of a race so he would always look his best. He certainly earned his nickname “Pedaleur de Charme” and ultimately married a well-known model in a storybook wedding straight out of central casting. All told, he rode 13 seasons spanning 1946-1958.
