French cyclist Henri Lignon placed second twice in the French National Road Race Championships in 1907 and 1909, and eighteenth at the Tour de France in 1905. He raced as a professional from 1905 to 1914 and had his best season in 1909 with team Alcyon taking first at GP Wolber, Reims-Nancy, Rouen-Roubaix, and Valence-Marseille.
