Victor Thuau a French track cyclist was born September 14, 1880, in Paris and died on February 29, 1964, at age 84 in Gouvieux.

At the 1900 Olympics in Paris, when he was only 19 years old,  Victor Thuau took third place in the 3,000-meter sprint.  In 1903 Victor Thuau was the French National Sprint Champion.

Thuau later worked as an aviation pioneer and built a plane that he called the Heroclite Phenomenon.
