Three-time Tour de France Stage winner Pé Verhaegen of Belgium raced as a professional from 1927 to 1934. Before racing on the road professionally, Verhaegen was the 1925 Belgian Cyclo-cross Champion and won the 1926 Amateur editions of both the Tour of Flanders and Tour of Belgium.  During his career he also won Paris-Brussels, Paris-St Quentin, GP de Hasbaye a Hoegaarden, Zottegem and GP de Hesbaye a Landen just to name a few.
