An beautiful image of Frenchman Paul Dangla at the track.
Dangle was a professional rider from 1899 to 1904 specializing in Demi-fond. In 1903 he came second in both the Championnat d’Europe and France de demi-fond.
On August 16, 1903, he beat all the records at the Parc des Princes Track:
30 km in 22’14 ” 1/5,
40 km in 29’23”4 / 5,
50. km in 36’40”4/5 (in half-hour 40 km 800)
60 km in 43’56”4/5
70 km in 51’17”1/5
80. km in 58’42”3/5 (at the hour 81 km 108)
Sadly his life and career were cut short in 1904 when he died from his injuries after an accident on the track in Magdeburg, Germany
