A fantastic image of Marius Thé, Roi des Entraînerus or King of the Coaches
Marius Thé was born in Marseille in September of 1871.
He became a motorcyclist, finishing third in the Grand Prix de la République at the Parc des Princes in 1903, as well as the Critérium du Quart-de-Litre a week later at the same place, all on Clément. His great success came in March 1904, still on Clément, by winning the Grand Prix de la République (officer World Motorcycling Championship), He went on to organize both at the Parc des Princes and at the Vélodrome d’Hiver (ahead of Alessandro Anzani on Alcyon, and Joseph Collomb on Magali).
During the same period, he coached legendary stayer racer, Henri Contenet. **
