Georges Parent (FRA)

$19.95

Frenchman Georges Parent raced as a professional from 1907 until 1914 mainly in motor-paced racing (also know as demi-fond).  He was the World Champion of demi-fond 1909-1911 and placed third in 1907.

Parent stared cycling while working as a delivery boy for a coffee shop.  His first competition as an amateur was in a road race in 1903.  He retired from cycling with the outbreak of WWI and enlisted in the French Army.  Sadly he died three weeks before the end of the war from the Spanish Flu.
