Ferdinando Terruzzi Signed Postal Card

Ferdinando Terruzzi specialized in track riding and was known as “King of the Six Days”

Terruzzi won a gold medal at the 1948 London Olympics in the tandem event with his partner Renato Perona.

After turning pro in 1949, he competed in 149 Six Days including Milan, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, New York, Barcelona, and Melbourne.  He won25 Six Days finished second in 39 and placed third in 19 earning his well-deserved nickname “King of the Six Days”  He was also European 100 km Madison Champion in 1955 & 1958.  He raced at the Six with fellow cycling legends Fausto Coppi, Jacques Anquetil, Andre Darrigade, Fiorenzo Magni, and Antonio Maspes.
