Favor Cycles & Motos, 1930’s Art Deco

$240.00

This poster is an original first printing, not a reproduction.

Fantastic Art Deco style and flair is used int he amazing poster to advertise Favor Cycles & Motos.

Favor was founded as a bicycle company in 1898 and expanded into motorcycling in 1921.   The factory was located in Clermont-Ferrand in the Auvergne region of France.

This poster has been archivally and professionally linen backed.  Virtually all original vintage posters of this era were viewed as temporary advertising and were printed on very thin paper. While expensive, linen backing is a conservation method used to mount, stabilize, preserve and protect vintage posters so they can be displayed or framed without compromising value. We take great care to insure the posters in our collection are linen backed by a very competent professional in France who uses acid-free materials and executes a process that is entirely reversible.
