Erland Christensen from Denmark raced as a professional on the track from 1934 – 1941.  He was born in Denmark in 1911 and started riding at the age of 15 and saw early success in many types of amateur races.  The turned profession in 1934 and won the international Derby in Copenhagen, partnered with Jean Aerts. In 1936 he finished first in the Prix Goullet-Folger Madison in France with partner Willy Falck Hansen. Christensen traveled extensively around Europe and the world, including the United States and Buenos Aires, to race in the very popular Six-Days.  He was an excellent team rider and won many important Madisons in Europe.
