Ennio Vanotti (born 13 September 1955) is a former Italian pro who rode in seventeen Gran Tours between 1978 and 1990 and was the winner of the 1977 Giro Valle d’Aosta. This jersey was from one of Vanotti’s last races before turning pro.

The Giro Valle d’Aosta – Started as an amateur race in 1962, the Giro Valle d’Aosta changed to a pro race in 2005 and remains on the pro calendar to this day.

This is a fantastic vintage jersey with beautiful chain stitching on both the front a back. Comes with the original photograph. The jersey in very nice condition. The new owner may wish to dry clean it to use as a retro ride jersey or simply leave it as is as a great looking display item.

This jersey was purchased directly from the Augusto Gotti family and was part of the collection in the legendary Bar Augusto in Villa d’Alme, Italy.  Bar Augusto was a key host to professional and amateur cycling teams from the 1960s through the 1980s.
