Eddy Merckx, At the Race Sign in.

A few years ago, we had some time left at the end of a litho signing and made the request to sign and race inscribe a handful of original photos. After he briefly sighed for dramatic effect, he asked what we had, looked the photos over, and said, “Sure. Let’s go.” We had 12 photos and each was unique. What should have taken perhaps 10 minutes ending up lasting more than half an hour as he had commentary for each photo. This photograph is signed but not inscribed as Eddy could not recall the race in which this photo was taken.

There is precisely one example of each photo. When it’s gone, it’s gone!
