Along with his French teammates, Andre Leducq was part of a core group of riders who ruled the road in the 1920s and 1930s. A two-time winner of the Tour de France in 1930 and 1932, Leducq was immensely popular with the fans, particularly the ladies. Leducq, like Jean Alavoine, was a perennial Tour de France stage winner. He amassed an incredible 25 stage wins at the Tour, placing him 4th on the all-time list.
