Adri van der Poel Used Netherlands National Champion Jersey

Van der Poel won the Dutch National Road Championships in 1987 and would have worn this jersey during the 1988 season for the PDM Team.

Adri van der Poel had a long and successful professional cycling career from 1981 to 2000. His biggest wins include six classics,  two stages of the Tour de France, the World Cyclo-Cross Championships in 1996 and was a six-time National Cyclo-Cross Champion.  He also won the silver medal in the World Road Championships in 1983 and five second-place finishes at the World Cyclo-Cross Championships.

This jersey was purchased directly from the Augusto Gotti family and was part of the collection in the legendary Bar Augusto in Villa d’Alme, Italy.  Bar Augusto was a key host to professional and amateur cycling teams from the 1960s through the 1980s.
