A beautiful jersey with amazing chain stitching on the front, back, sleeves, and sides. Jersey also includes a photo of Van der Poel and a WKS Flota pin (Wojskowy Klub Sportowy Flota is a Polish Sports Club).
Adri van der Poel had a long and successful professional cycling career from 1981 to 2000. His biggest wins included six classics, two stages of the Tour de France, the World Cyclo-Cross Championships in 1996, and was a six time National Cyclo-Cross Champion. He also won the silver medal in the World Road Championships in 1983 and five second-place finishes at the World Cyclo-Cross Championships.
This jersey was purchased directly from the Augusto Gotti family and was part of the collection in the legendary Bar Augusto in Villa d’Alme, Italy. Bar Augusto was a key host to professional and amateur cycling teams from the 1960s through the 1980s.
