This authentic 1988 Tour de France Podium Pennant was awarded daily to the rider leading the General Classification.
Pedro Delgado was the winner of the 1988 Tour de France. Interestingly the 1988 Tour started without a defending champion, as both Stephan Roche (the 1987 winner) and Greg Lemond (the 1986 winner) did not ride due to injuries.
