1987 Tour de l’Avenir – Participant Medal

Authentic 1987 Tour de l’Avenir Participants Medal.

Marc Madoit was the winner of the 1987 Tour de l’Avenir.  Interestingly, the medals from this era featured the winner from the previous year, so this medal has a wonderful image of 1986 winner, Miguel Indurain.

The Tour de l’Avenir, or the Tour of the Future,  is a stage race taking place in the fall. Between 1986 and 1990 it was also called the Tour de la Communauté Europeenne  which can be seen on one side of the medal.

Participants medals are awarded to all members of each Tour de l’Avenir team.
