This wonderful race credential from the 48th Tour de France, in 1961, was for the race finish at Parc de Princes where the crowd cheered Jacques Anquteil to his second, of five, Tour victories.

The 1961 Tour de France was the 48th edition of the legendary race.  The 1961 Tour covered 4,397 km over 21 stages between June 25th and July 16th.

Jacques Anquetil dominated the 1961 Tour de France from day one.  He took the yellow in the Stage 1b time trail and wore it all the way to Paris where he was victorious over Italian rider Guido Carlesi by 12’14” .
