1953 Giro d’Italia Totosport Postal Card Set of 19

$199.00

A fantastic set of Totosport postal cards from the 1953 Giro d’Italia.  The mid-century graphics are wonderful and the cards feature a profile of each stage.  All the cards have the same image on the front and each card features a cancellation from a stage of the 1953 Giro.

The 1953 Giro was an exciting race with Hugo Kobelt in the pink leaders from stage 8 to stage 20 when Coppi attacked and caught him on the climb up the Stelvio Pass, winning the stage, taking the race lead and ultimately the securing the overall victory in Milan.
