Tour de France 1923-1925 Poster featuring Ottavio Bottechia

$39.95

Automoto crushed the competition at the 1923-1925 Tours de France. In 1923, 34-year-old Henri Pelissier of France rode to victory in front of a challenging field, including second place Ottavio Bottechia of Italy. In 1924 and 1925, it was Bottechia who reigned supreme. This poster shows Bottechia’s unmistakable image.

Note the excellent use of the letter “T” in Automoto as a stand-in for the bike. Bottechia stands proud replete with tires wrapped around his shoulders, cotton cap on his head, and racing goggles at the ready.
